There is no way to win or get the artifact. You try to take it with empty inventory space, you have too many dogs in your inventory. You drop the dog, the dog absorbs the artifact. You fill up your inventory before entering the room, drop something to get space, the dog appears in your inventory immediately afterwards. You go in and out of the room multiple times to see if the dog eventually stops appearing, you continue forever to no avail. You try to store the dog in the dimensional box from your cell phone, you have absolutely no access to it as it's clogged with dog fur.
You try to absorb the artifact yourself, and you walk into a pedestal for about an hour, crying at your failure. The dog watches with an unchanging smile the entire time. There is no way to win.
